ARSENAL DEFENDER SET FOR TRAINING

Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin is getting to the final stage of rehabilitation form the injury he suffered last season. The Spanish defender suffered a horrific ankle injury in February which has sidelined him for more than six months.


Arsenal are said to be confident that the defender will be able to recover quickly and return back to his old form. Bellerin is one of the oldest players at the club after breaking into the first team at the age of 17 as an initial backup to Ivorian Emmanuel Eboue.

The Spaniard has made the position his own in the past few seasons with consistent performances. Ainsley Maitland-Niles has been covering in the right fullback position since his injury but does not feel comfortable playing the role.

Bellerin is seen by Unai Emery as a key cog for his team due to his pace and ability to get into quality positions. The defender Is regarded by fans as a cult hero and a player that puts his best for the team. French forward Alexandre Lacazette is also back from injury with the Gunners getting closer to a healthy team.

Meanwhile, castaway midfielder MesutOzil has revealed that he is going to remain until his contract expires. In a recent interview, Ozil maintains his love for the club and revealed that he would do whatever it takes to win his place within the first 11.

There have been rumours abounding that a number of clubs are willing to sign the player this summer. The likes of Inter Milan and Borussia Dortmund and are thought to be in negotiations regarding a transfer in January.

Emery has regularly left the German out of the team which infuriates Arsenal fans as he is the highest-paid player on the team. It remains to be seen whether Ozil still has a chance this season to impress Emery.
